In today’s educational true crime documentary, we’re covering the case of Marissa Tietsort and analyzing it from a legal and psychological perspective.

Marissa Tietsort, from Wisconsin in the US, is accused of killing the two-month-old boy before putting him in winter clothes and a car seat to hide the fact he was dead

A babysitter killed a two-month-old baby before handing him back to his mum, who had no idea the child was dead, it is alleged.

Marissa Tietsort, 28, is accused of causing the infant’s death before putting him in a snowsuit and car seat to hide the fact he was death.

She took him to a McDonald’s, pretending he was still alive, before returning him, according to investigators.

A hat was pulled over his eyes, leaving the baby’s mum to believe he was sleeping, police in Wausau, Wisconsin, have said.

The child died as a result of blunt force head injuries, according to reports in the US.

Tietsort, who is pregnant with her sixth child, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide.

On October 18, when she was babysitting the child, Tietsort reportedly messaged the mum and told her she had been charged with child abuse, the Wausau Daily Herald reports.

When his mum came to pick him up, he was in winter clothes and in a car seat.

It was only when she took her children to a laundry store that she realised the boy wasn’t breathing, and was cold.

Panicked, she started doing CPR.

The following day, police traced Tietsort, who said she hadn’t killed him, but had not tried to resuscitate him.

The baby had at least three head injuries and a fractured tailbone, which suggests a “significant” amount of force was used.

It has emerged that the dad of an 11-month-old girl has also alleged that Tietsort injured his child while babysitting her.
